In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

"THE POISON TREE" online for free; directly from the author MARWA RAKHA

It seems that Marwa Rakha, the author of the controversial book "The Poison Tree" is having some problems with her publisher (good luck there), so she decided to make the book available for free on her website.
I bought and read the book some six months ago and found it courageous, originally written, and entertaining, so I definitely suggest you to buy or download it.
It is also worth browsing her website for articles she wrote on magazines, and correspondence she had with readers. As a non-Egyptian, interested in Egyptian culture and society, I found them very interesting.
