World Refugee Day at Sawy on June 17, 2011

The World Refugee Day is an event organized by UNHCR & CRS that will take place at the Sawy Culture Wheel on Friday June 17, 2011 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Among some of the events will be
- Ongoing exhibition at ElGesr Wall

- "Yes, Chief !" (clown play) at 10:30 AM

Presented by Red Tomato, the new play "Yes Chief!" will premiere on World Refugee Day for an audience of mostly refugee children from different communities

- Handicrafts market, River hall at 1:00 PM

- "Going to the Neighbour's House" (community theater play) at 2:00 PM

Red Tomato will also be performing with the Neighbourhood Theatre Company in a joint production. "Going to the Neighbour's House" is a play about refugees in Cairo, created and performed by a cast of Egyptian actors and a group of psycho-social workers from different refugee communities. It is a project of PSTIC (Psycho Social Institute in Cairo).

- Music performance by Naseer Shamma at the River hall, 6:00 PM
