Czech viola player ZUZANA PERINOVA at the Cairo Opera House


The Cairo Opera House, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo presents a symphonic concert with the Czech viola player Zuzana Perinova as soloist. Ms. Perinova is recognized as one of the finest among the young generation of players. The Cairo Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by its Principal Conductor and Artistic Director Mr Jiri Petrdlik (www.jiripetrdlik.cz).

The program includes Arthur HONEGGER's "Pacific 231", Claude DEBUSSY's "Prélude a l´apres-midi d´un faune", Paul DUKAS' "L´apprenti sorcier", and Hector BERLIOZ's "Harold in Italy, Symphony with Solo Viola, Op. 16".

The concert will be held on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 8:00 PM in the Main Hall of the Cairo Opera House, Gezira Island, Cairo.

  1. You should have warned us that the code dress is formal and also to mention that it's either by tickets or invitations!

  2. Dear Ahmad, I understand your disappointment at the dress code requirements as I have been myself denied entry the very first time I went to the Main Hall many years ago. Like it or not this has been a COH policy for many years and I warn about it in my post about the venue http://cairoliveeventsguide.blogspot.com/2008/09/cairo-opera-house.html I hope you'll understand that I cannot repeat it at every post.
    As for the ticket, I submit the information I receive from the organizers. As a rule, it should be assumed that attending an event might be subject to an entrance fee (if I receive the price I post it) unless it is clearly stated in the post that the event is free.
