Up On The Roof goes bi-monthly

Up on the Roof now takes place on every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. The next event takes place on Thursday July 21, 2011 at Darb 17 18 at 7:30 PM.

Up on the Roof is an Arts Residency Cairo (ARC) event in association with Darb 1718. The bi monthly Open Stage Night is a creative platform for both established and emerging artists using either Arabic or English language.

Performances include live poetry, spoken word, stand-up comedy, narratives, music, script reading and dance. Each act will be a maximum of 7 minutes and at times a longer guest spot for an invited artist. This is a space to try out new material and take risks as well as present shaped work.
