In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

"TORINO-CAIRO Round Trip". Along Rice and Silk Routes

In the framework of the Italo-Egyptian year of Science and Technology, the Italian region Piedmont is bringing to Cairo a festival featuring literature readings (in Italian language), art installations, performances and conferences aimed at celebrating rice, silk and wool, products that have been of capital importance in the inter-cultural exchange that has developed in the  Mediterranean basin through the years.
Every evening will be closed by a degustation of gastronomical products from the Piedmont region.

The event will be held at the Italian Social Club, next to the Italian Consulate, 24 El Gaala Street, Boulaq starting at 7:00 PM from Sunday, October 25 to Tuesday October 27, 2009.

Free entry but, in order to arrange the degustation, participants are required to register their presence by sending a mail to stagista3.cairo@esteri.it specifying the day in which they wish to attend and their number (rather easy, no?).
