“The City The Ghost” installation and exhibition

"The City The Ghost" is a sound installation and exhibition by various Swiss and Egyptian artists that will take place from Sunday August 7, 2011 to Thursday September 8, 2011 at the Saad Zaghloul Cultural Center.

Pro Helvetia is supporting “The City The Ghost” - a sound installation and exhibition by Nahla Mattar (Egypt), Marwan Fawzy (Egypt), Alfred Zimmerlin (Switzerland), Franziska Baumann (Switzerland) & Photographer Doaa Kassem (Egypt). The project tackles the audio memory of the city (Cairo) using excerpts of its most significant sounds, while using visuals highlighting emotions and feeling associated with those sounds.
