Film director / activist Lara Lee has recently released Cultures of Resistance, a feature film length documentary that has gained remarkably sensational traction around the globe. The movie powerfully shows the struggle against poverty, oppression (with all its facets and colors), exploitation, inherent corruption and social, environmental and economic injustice and degradation around the world through different forms of artistic expression be it graffiti and music in Iran, poetry, dance and photography in South America, underground hip hop in Palestine just to name a few. The film is currently on tour around the world, with screenings within and outside of film festivals in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Cultures of Resistance is refreshingly moving, colorfully human and piercingly insightful and is surely an eye opener for the whole world.
