"IL PADRE E LO STRANIERO" movie screening at the presence of actor AMR WAKED


On Thursday April 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM the theatre of the Italian Cultural Institute in Zamalek will host a special screening of the movie "IL PADRE E LO STRANIERO" Drama, 110 min. Italy, 2010, Italian with Arabic subtitles, a film by Ricky Tognazzi with Ksenia Rappoport, Alessandro Gassmann, Amr Waked, Leo Gullotta, Nadine Labaki.
The actor Amr Waked will be present at the event.

From the novel by Giancarlo De Cataldo. In a Rome with echoes of the Middle East, a friendship develops between two very different men, the Italian Diego and the Arab Walid. The two men bond through the shared love for their disabled sons, who both attend the same rehabilitation centre. Through his relationship with Walid, Diego will question the meaning of 'different' and 'normal' and how he has lived his life until that point.

The film will be proposed to the IIC public with Arabic subtitles. The subs are part of the work of RE/TRANS group, belonging to RE/ACT project, composed by Ain Shams University students coordinated, in the Italian translation, by Sara Essam and Sahar Salah.
