SWISS FILM WEEK - DAY 1

Today, Wednesday March 4 2009 is the day of the inauguration of the Swiss Film Week at the Galaxy Cinema in Manial. Today's schedule is as follows:

4:00 PM and 9:30 PM: The wonderful comedy "Die Herbstzeitlosen", 2006 by Bettina Oberli, in Swiss German with Arabic subtitles. See review here.

6:30 PM: The story of the family of the Palestinian singer and oud player Kamilya Joubran "Telling Strings", 2007, by Anne-Marie Haller, in Arabic and French with English subtitles. See review here. Kamilya Joubran will be present and will hold a concert at the end of the movie.

12:00 PM (Midnight): "Nachbeben (Going Private)", 2006, by Stina Werenfels, in Swiss German and English with Arabic subtitles. See synopsis here.
