In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

El Tanboura and Chung Yufeng at the El Tanboura Hall

On Friday January 28, 2011 at 9:30 PM in the El Tanboura Hall, El Mastaba Center for Egyptian Folk Music presents a very unique concert: El Tanboura jamming and performing with El Mastaba's guest Taiwanese artist Chung Yufeng. The semsemeya melodies from Port Said meet the delicate sound of the Pipa instrument in a unique folk fusion.
Taiwanese artist Chung Yufeng is trained in traditional classical music and playing on the Pipa and Moon Guitar. Yufeng is currently in Cairo to collaborate with El Mastaba's folk bands on several workshops and performances.
Tickets available at the door for 20 LE.
