In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

This is a private, independent, nonprofit endeavour. This blog was started in August 2008 by Cairowanderer who has been running it solo up to May 2011. Since then Cairene Beat contributes as well to the blog. TAHRIR BOOK FAIR at AUC Tahrir Campus

From today Thursday March 22 to Saturday March 24, 2012 AUC Tahrir Campus will host the 2nd Tahrir Book Fair. The fair is open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Bookworms (no pun intended; I'm one of them) can find new books, bargains, special offers with lots of English titles as well. Many bookstores, publishers, gift stores, and booksellers are participating, including Adam Bookshop, Lehnert & Landrock, Khan Misr Touloun, Oum El Dounia, and AUC  Campus Shop. You can spend a fun couple of hours there, I assure you.

Admission is free but you need a valid photo ID and the invitation that you can print from the AUC website (click here).
