In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

Attention - "Jazz Factory" concert on Wednesday, November 5

There seems to be some confusion regarding the time of the opening concert of the “JAZZ FACTORY”, with Wolfgang Haffner Band (Germany), Nardy Castellini (Spain), Nils Peter Molvaer (Norway), Fathy Salama and Sharkiat Band with Trygve Seim and Frode Haltli (Egypt/Norway) at the Manial Palace 1, Al-Saraya St., on Wednesday, November 5.
According to the Al Mawred al Thaqafi (one of the organizers) website it will start at 9:00 PM as stated in my post, but in the (by the way, wonderful. Congratulations) leaflet program "Nights of Eastern-Western Fusion" from the Norwegian Embassy it is supposed to start at 7:00 PM. I tried to get info by phone from Al Mawred but could not get through.

This is just for your information and to avoid irate mails from people who arrived either too late or too early. Take it easy, there's only that much that one can do ...
