A very interesting movie will be shown tonight, Monday, November 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Goethe Institute.
“Nackt Unter Wölfen” (Naked Amongst Wolves) is a 1963 movie by Frank Beyer adapted from the novel with the same title by Bruno Apitz, an inmate of the Buchenwald concentration camp between 1938 and 1945.
This was the first German movie who dealt with life and death in the concentration camps and tells about the turmoil brought in the life of the inmates by the sudden appearance of a child who has been smuggled inside the camp.
Those who can read German can find a synopsis at the Goethe Institute own website, here.
The movie is in German with English subtitles.
Free entrance.
The address of the Goethe-Institut is 5, Sharia Al-Bustan, Downtown Cairo
