"I CENTO PASSI" at AUC
One of the best Italian movies of the decade will be screened tomorrow, Wednesday May 13 at 7:00 PM in the Blue Room of AUC Greek Campus in Tahrir.
"I cento passi" (The 100 Steps) by Marco Tullio Giordana, 2001, is the story of Luigi Impastato, a communist sympathizer and activist born into a mafia family in Sicily. The movie, based on a real story, reconstructs his life and celebrates the struggle against the mafia-led social system, beautifully depicting the domestic tragedy of a family split by two opposite forces: the ideal of a free society and the respect for paternal authority.
The movie will be in Italian language with English subtitles. Free entry.
