In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

TOMORROW ... MOVIE NIGHT!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Blue Room of AUC Greek Campus in Tahrir Square will be screened the movie "Romanzo Criminale" ("Crime Novel"), by Michele Placido, 2005 in Italian with English subtitles.
The movie follows the rise and fall of a true criminal band that made headlines in the early seventies. Operating from a Rome suburb from which they took their name, the "Banda della Magliana" was involved with national politics, terrorism and mafia.

Still at 7:00 PM, at the Embassy of the Czech Republic, 4 Dokki St., Giza, will continue the EU Film Club with the screening of the movie "Katyn", an historical drama from Poland. I suppose the movie will have English subtitles but cannot guarantee.

And if you're late ... at 8:30 PM at the French Cultural Center in Mounira will be screened the musical comedy "Fauburg 36" by Christophe Barratier, 2008, in French and German with English subtitles.

In all venues, free entry!
