Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters" at AUC
Starting Thursday December 2 and running until Thursday December 9, 2010 AUC Theatre presents one of the masterpieces of the modern stage, Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters, directed by Frank Bradley.
Written in 1900, Three Sisters traces the lives, aspirations, and disappointments of the Prozorov family over a three year period during which their entire world disappears. It is a drama of decay, of a social class and of a world view, dressed in a uniquely Chekhovian mixture of tragedy and farce.
Performances will take place in the Malak Gabr Arts Theatre at AUC New Cairo Campus and will start at 7:00 PM, except on December 3 and 4 when they will take place at 5:00 PM. Tickets on sale at the Theatre Box Office (2:00 to 6:00 PM) or at the AUC Bookstore Downtown. For ticket reservation please call 012 1721526 or 02 26154108. Complementary bus service is provided from AUC Downtown at Tahrir Square in front of McDonald's, departing at 5:30 PM on December 2,5,6,8 and 9. Departing at 3:30 PM on December 3 and 4.
