XII International Cairo Biennale
The 12th International Cairo Biennale will open its doors on Sunday December 12, 2010 and will keep art lovers duly busy till Februar 12, 2011.
Subtitled "The Diversity of All and Everything Possible", the event will take place at the Museum of Modern Art, at the Palace of the Arts (both located in the Cairo Opera Grounds) and at the Horizon (in the Mahmoud Khalil Museum in Giza) and El Bab Galleries (also in the Cairo Opera Grounds). Two satellite exhibitions will be held in connection with the Biennale, one titled "Arab Artists in Diaspora", and the other "Contemporary Egyptian Photography".
Over 80 artists from more than 40 countries will take place to Biennale.
For more information about the event, click here to be redirected to the Biennale's website. There is another government website dedicated to the event (click here) where you can find more information about the venues and what I consider a better arranged artists section.

Hi Cairo Wanderer. Do you happen to know if the venues will be open tomorrow for the Biennale? I can't seem to find info on when they open. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese venues should be definitely open on Fridays but, to be on the safe side, I would probably go there only around 2:00 PM, after prayer time.
