In these pages you will hopefully find interesting tips on how to take advantage of Cairo's many cultural opportunities, with particular attention to live events. Cairo Live Events Guide does not pretend to be exhaustive but will try to cover main events open to the public.

MA'AT Dance Performance Friday July 1, 2011

On Friday July 1, 2011 the MA'AT Dance MECA will present an informal performance showing the work they have done in their 2-week workshop.

Karima Mansour, Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher has produced a series of workshops since 2004. The workshops were initiated by MA'AT DANCE M.E.C.A (Movement for Egyptian Contemporary Art), the first independent contemporary dance company to be created in Egypt in 1999.

Participants are mainly dancers but also actors, singers, musicians among others. The workshop does not intend to produce a finished work, but rather a structured improvisation based on the workshop, an instant dialogue between the participants, themselves and the audience.
