Movie evening at the Italian Cultural Institute


For their CineVideoClub – Cinema on Thursday program, the Italian Cultural Institute presents "THE INDUSTRIAL", a film by Giuliano Montaldo. With Pierfrancesco Favino, Carolina Crescentini, Eduard Gabia, Elena Di Cioccio, Elisabetta Piccolomini. Drama, 94 min. - Italy 2011

Following the Silver Pyramid Award to Director Giuliano Montaldo, special award of the jury in the 35th Cairo International Film Festival, the movie will be proposed to the IIC public with Arabic subtitles. The subtitles are part of the work of RE/TRANS group, belonging to RE/ACT project, composed by Ain Shams University students and coordinated, in the Italian translation, by Sara Essam and Sahar Salah.

In the movie, Giuliano Montaldo gets back to cinema with a work that confirms his commitments to current topics, as in this case the economical crisis. The Italy showed in the movie is the one of the current crisis, a land where entrepreneurs are crushed by bankruptcy, a cross section of contemporary history.
